There are a handful of companies heading to the Venture Atlanta stage this year that will be familiar to Hypepotamus readers. Those include: 

VA Goes Deep On DeepTech

A big trend this year? This year’s Venture Atlanta will have a strong DeepTech and DefenseTech focus, with a Defense Tech Special Session on the Thursday schedule. 

The company lineup for 2026 also includes a long list of startups building in the robotics, DefenseTech, and DeepTech industries. 

Those startups include Florida-based VerdeGo Aero, Georgia-based Mantis Space, Florida-based Censys Technologies, Texas-based Tempest Droneworx, Florida-based Hextronics, Texas-based BiaTech, Texas-based TrailSense, Georgia-based Remetheus, South Carolina-based Drobot, North Carolina-based Blue Sky Robotics, Florida-based BioRadar, Alabama-based American Drone Motors, and Georgia-based Ground Control Robotics.

Venture Atlanta attracts investors from across the country each year. And this year, the close to 100 companies that will be part of the conference represent everything from "niche" SaaS platforms to AI tools for consumers and businesses alike. 

That includes CleanTechs, fintechs (like Crowded Finance, Receivabull, Childfree Trust, Abra, KYXSTART, Swivl), Smart Home technology, (like SmartAC and Goldilocks Smart Solutions), and, of course, plenty of AI, SaaS, and B2B ventures.

So, what are some of the startups up to a year later? 

It turns out, a lot has changed for a few companies that were part of Venture Atlanta 2025. That includes companies like Reditus Space (which raised $7.1 million after the conference), VeroSkills (which raised $5.3 million last October), and Lucid Bots (which raised $20 million Series B earlier in 2026).
