Ditto Names Matt Lohman CCO as Offline App Platform Grows in Atlanta
ATLANTA, October 16 (Hypepotamus) - Chick-fil-A. The US Airforce. Delta Air Lines.
What do they all have in common? They rely on Ditto, a Series B mobile database with built-in edge device connectivity and resiliency, to ensure their apps keep working even when the internet goes down.
The company’s center of gravity has moved from San Francisco to Atlanta, with the company opening its HQ along the Eastside Beltline trail and has been growing its employee count in town.
Now, the company is building out its leadership team in Atlanta as it prepares to introduce an AI tool that lets frontline teams create apps with those same offline capabilities. One of the latest people to join Ditto is Matt Lohman. He started as an advisor for the company but joined recently as the company’s chief commercial officer, where he will lead sales, partnerships and customer growth.
Building Out Ditto’s Executive Suite
Lohman joked that he used to “drive past” Atlanta’s tech scene on his way to the airport. After starting his career in music, he found himself building much of his career at scaling SaaS and MarTech companies across the country. He served as the Managing Director for Verisk (acquired by ActiveProspect and Five Elms Capital in Dec 2025), Chief Revenue Officer at Jornaya (acquired by Verisk in 2020), and Director of Business Development at Knowledgestorm (acquired by TechTarget), to name a few.
Tech Square Ventures is an Atlanta-based firm investing in enterprise (B2B) and marketplace technology companies.
He also served as the Vice President of Sales for Oracle Marketing Cloud after it acquired Eloqua in 2012.
Lohman said he first connected with CEO and co-founder Adam Fish late last year. He told Hypepotamus that what struck him about the company was Ditto’s “uncompromising customer experience” and how the company has attracted both public sector and commercial customers ranging from The United States Special Operations Command to retail giants who are looking for “always-on” solutions to help with their field teams.
What’s Next For Ditto
To date, Ditto has raised $136 million in venture capital (including a $82 million Series B last year) and is backed by firms like San Francisco-based Top Tier Capital Partners and Acrew Capital.
The Ditto team is distributed globally, but they have around 30 currently based in Atlanta (with multiple roles on their job board currently).
What’s next for Ditto? Lohman said that the team is preparing to launch Forge, an AI app builder for frontline work.
“Teams describe the app they need in plain language, and Forge builds a native iPhone, Android and web app that keeps working offline and syncs directly between devices. The first app built on Forge, MaintainOps, a maintenance tool for field and factory teams, is already in early access."
